A Flag Game You Play at Full Speed
Flag Rush turns guessing flags into a race. A country name pops up at the top of the screen, and a row of flags on poles comes rushing down the track toward you, one in each lane. Tap the one that belongs to that country before it crosses the checkered line. Get it right and the flag bursts into confetti in its own colors. Get it wrong and you lose a heart, but the game shows you the right flag and its name so you remember it next time.
The first few rounds are easy on purpose: two lanes, famous flags and plenty of time. Then the track widens to three and four lanes, the flags speed up, and the tricky lookalikes start to appear. It works like a country flag guessing game or a name the flag game, only faster, and you play it right here as a flag game online with nothing to install. The combos and the album are what keep you playing one more run.
How to Play Flag Rush
- Read the name at the top of the screen.
- Tap the matching flag before it reaches the checkered line. On a keyboard, press 1 to 4 or A, S, D and F to pick a lane from left to right.
- Keep your streak going. Five right in a row doubles your points, ten triples them and twenty multiplies them by four.
- Watch your hearts. You have three. A wrong tap costs one, and so does letting the right flag pass you. The run ends when they’re all gone.
- Check the end screen. You’ll see your score, the new flags added to your album, how close you are to your best or your next road, and the flags you missed, so you can learn them.
Fever and Speed Bonuses
Each round, the flags dash in from the horizon and then slowly creep toward the checkered line while the timer runs down. Answer fast for a speed bonus. The sooner you tap, the more it’s worth, and the fastest answers earn a Lightning bonus on top. When the flags get close to the line, the timer turns red and you’ll hear a heartbeat. Answering at the very last moment still counts, and you’ll see a “Close one!” when you do.
Reach a streak of 15 and the sky turns gold for 8 seconds of Fever. Flags come faster, every point is doubled and each hit throws out extra confetti. Keep the streak alive and Fever comes back every 15 answers.
Your Flag Album
Every flag you get right for the first time is saved to your album. It’s sorted by continent, with a question mark for every flag you haven’t found yet. Rare flags only appear in longer runs, so filling all 197 takes a while. That’s a good reason to come back.
Your album also unlocks new roads. Reach 25 flags for the Desert road, 50 for Snow, 100 for Sunset, 150 for Night City and all 197 for the Golden Road. Pick any road you’ve unlocked from the main menu.
Flags That Look Alike
Later in a run the game puts similar flags side by side. These are the pairs that catch most people:
- Chad and Romania: the same three vertical stripes in blue, yellow and red. Only the shades are slightly different.
- Indonesia and Monaco: both red over white. In this game they never appear in the same round, because they look identical.
- Ireland and Ivory Coast: the same colors in the opposite order. Ireland has green next to the pole.
- Norway and Iceland: Norway is a red flag with a blue cross, and Iceland is a blue flag with a red cross.
- Australia and New Zealand: both blue with the Union Jack. Australia’s stars are white, and New Zealand’s are red with a white border.
Tips
- Look for one standout detail instead of the whole flag: a maple leaf, a star, a cross or an unusual color.
- Tap early when you’re sure. The speed bonus adds up fast, especially with a multiplier.
- When you’re not sure, use the time you have. A slow right answer keeps your streak, but a fast wrong one breaks it.
- Look at the “Learn These” list after each run. The flags you missed are the ones that will come back to get you.
- A lot of flag games feel like a quiz you do once and forget. Here the album keeps track, so every run adds something.
A Flags Game for Everyone
You don’t need to know many flags to start. If you can guess the flag of France, Brazil or Japan, you can play. The game starts with flags most people know and slowly mixes in harder ones, so it works as a fun flags game for kids learning geography and as a real test for people who already know them all.
Questions Players Ask
Is Flag Rush Free to Play?
Yes. It's free in your browser. There's nothing to download, and you don't need an account.
Does It Work on My Phone?
Yes. Flag Rush works on phones, tablets and computers, in portrait or landscape. On a phone you just tap the flag you want.
How Many Flags Are in the Game?
There are 197 flags. That's all 193 UN member states plus Vatican City, Palestine, Kosovo and Taiwan. You start with well known flags, and the rarer ones show up the longer your run lasts.
How Do Combos and Fever Work?
Every right answer in a row adds to your streak. At 5 in a row your points are doubled, at 10 they're tripled, and at 20 they're multiplied by four. One mistake resets the multiplier. Hit 15 in a row and you get 8 seconds of Fever, where flags come faster and every point is doubled again.
Why Do I Get More Points Sometimes?
Speed pays. The earlier you tap the right flag, the bigger the bonus. Very fast answers get a Quick or Lightning label, and Lightning adds extra points on top.
What Is the Flag Album?
Every flag you get right for the first time goes into your album, sorted by continent. At the end of each run you see the new flags you collected. Try to fill all 197.
What Are Road Themes?
Filling your album unlocks new looks for the track. Desert opens at 25 flags, Snow at 50, Sunset at 100, Night City at 150 and the Golden Road when you have all 197. Pick any road you've unlocked from the main menu.
Which Flags Look Almost the Same?
Chad and Romania are the classic pair, with the same blue, yellow and red stripes in slightly different shades. Indonesia and Monaco are both red over white. Norway and Iceland swap red and blue in the same cross, and Australia and New Zealand differ mainly in their stars.
Which Countries Have Square Flags?
Only two. Switzerland and Vatican City both have square flags. In Flag Rush every flag is shown in the same 3:2 shape so they all fit the lanes, which means those two look a little wider than the real thing.
Is My Progress Saved?
Yes. Your best score, your flag album, your road theme and your sound setting are saved in your browser on this device.
